On November 2, 2010 The Dutzow Verein shared an English version of A Trip to a Forgotten Utopia, a documentary made for the German audience that premiered September 4, 2010 in Bremen, Germany.  The film was received by a standing room only audience at Blumenhof Winery in the heart of Dutzow, less than a mile from the farms of Gottfried Duden and Friedrich Muench.

The film was so well received that an encore showing of A Trip to A Forgotten Utopia will be on February 27, 2011 at the St. Vincent Catholic School in Dutzow, in partnership with the Boone-Duden Historical Society at 1:00 pm.

There is no charge for this film and the public is invited.

The Dutzow Verein was formed from a group of historians, writers, and members of the community and the public at large and is solely interested in the history of the Dutzow community and sharing and the preservation of that history. There are no financial requirements, simply an interest in the preservation of the history of those early German emigrants to the area.
